Three PhD students from the group recently presented their research at the Graduate School for Health Sciences annual symposium at Studienzentrum Gerzensee, accompanied by their supporting supervisor, Prof. Frahsa. The symposium was filled with engaging presentations, a lively poster session, nice food, and insightful exchanges with fellow PhD colleagues.
Kris Schürch shared his global scoping review on “Knowledge, Attitudes, and Behavior Towards Smoking Among People with Migration Experience.” Sophie Meyer presented her work on “Science-Policy Interaction During Pandemic Emergencies,” and Cristopher Kobler Betancourt gave a talk titled “When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade: Imagining a Pandemic Future Beyond Marginalization.”
Kris, Cristopher and Sophie also mentored junior participants in the poster session. The second day featured workshops on research ethics and ethical issues surrounding AI in health sciences, sparking thought-provoking discussions. This marks the last symposium attendance for our PhDs, who now focus on their final exams and completing their projects.
A fantastic experience filled with inspiration, learning, and community!
